The classic Britannica Atlas is a high quality publication, now available second hand for next to nothing. The maps were sourced from Rand McNally, which subcontracted some of the map production to other firms, including George Philip & Son of London, among others. While some maps look a little drab, it would be unfair to dismiss them on such 4/5(1). In fact, the whole book has a rather 'cheapish' feel to it, even though its content is quite respectable. In summary, I am satisfied with this atlas, which should suffice for general usage and is broadly similar to the classic Britannica Atlas in terms of coverage and scale.
